Comprehensive Evaluations (CMDE)
The first step in determining your child's eligibility for EIDBI services. Our licensed evaluators complete thorough developmental and behavioral assessments, functional skill evaluations, caregiver interviews, and service recommendations.
Individual Intervention
One-on-one therapy sessions focusing on communication, daily living skills, social regulation, and academic readiness using evidence-based methods like ABA, NDBI, and play-based models.
Family-Centered Training & Support
Parent and caregiver coaching, sibling support, culturally responsive guidance, and support navigating IEPs, services, and transitions. Families are a child's first and most important teachers.
Care Coordination
We work closely with your child's medical providers, school staff, and other therapy teams to ensure seamless, collaborative care that's aligned across environments.

Children Under 21
EIDBI services are available for children and youth under age 21 who meet eligibility requirements
We serve children from early childhood through age 20, providing developmentally appropriate interventions at each stage. Our services adapt to meet changing needs as children grow, supporting transitions through different developmental milestones and life changes including school transitions.
Autism Spectrum Disorder & Related Conditions
Children must have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions to qualify for EIDBI services
We serve children with formal diagnoses of ASD from qualified healthcare providers. Related conditions may also qualify. If your child doesn't have a formal diagnosis yet, we can help connect you with evaluation resources. Our team works with families throughout the diagnostic process.
Medical Assistance & MinnesotaCare
EIDBI is a Minnesota Medicaid benefit with no cost to eligible families
All EIDBI services are covered under Minnesota Health Care Programs including Medical Assistance (MA) and MinnesotaCare. We also accept other insurance options. Don't have MA yet? We can help you apply and navigate the enrollment process to access services.

What is EIDBI?
EIDBI stands for Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention. It's a Minnesota Medicaid-covered service designed to support children under 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions using evidence-based therapy to build functional, social, and communication skills.
Who qualifies for EIDBI services?
Children and youth under age 21 who: Have a diagnosis of ASD or a related condition, and are enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs (Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare). Don't have MA yet? We can help you apply.
What is a CMDE?
The Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE) is the first step in starting EIDBI services. It includes a full developmental and behavioral assessment and helps determine the need for therapy. It must be completed by a qualified provider.

Milestone Therapy offers flexible service locations: In-home, in our center (Coming soon), and via telehealth. We'll work with you to find the best fit for your child and family.
What does it cost?
There is no cost to families who have coverage through Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare. EIDBI is a Medicaid-covered service. We also accept other insurance options; just give us a call!
